3M Peltor TEP-300 Wireless Tactical Ear Plugs Compatible with Peltor ComTac VII/SCU-300/TMAS

P/N: TEP-300: 3M Peltor Tactical Wireless Active Hearing Protection & Enhancement Ear Plugs with Portable Charging Case. Specifically designed to work with the TMAS family of products: SCU-300 & ComTac VII. The TEP-300 features in-ear, acoustical, speech communications microphones which picks up sound waves from your voice as you speak. This design eliminates the need for a traditional boom microphone, making it easier to use in combination with respiratory equipment. The cable-free design reduces snag hazards and further increases compatibility with other headborne PPE.

Peltor’s Tactical Modular Audio System(TMAS) allows seamless and intuitive wireless integration between the ComTac VII, Tactical Wireless Ear Plugs(TEP-300), & System Control Unit(SCU/PTT). The system will automatically recognize when the TEP-300 are being worn with the headset and will input all audio into the ear plugs. When the ComTac VII is removed & the TEP-300 earplugs are still being worn, the system automatically routes audio to the wireless earplugs only(Incoming & Outgoing Audio).

The TEP-300 wirelessly connects to the SCU-300 Sold Separately. The SCU-300 features proprietary automatic conflict resolution, which allows multiple users cordless communications in close proximity. Near Field Magnetic Induction(NFMI) is a short range, digital, wireless physical layer that communicates by coupling a tight, low power, non-propagating magnetic field between devices. The range is approximately 50 cm (20 in). The steep degradation of NFMI signal strength as a function of distance increases privacy and reduces issues with interference compared to traditional wireless technology. Spectral interference is reduced by a “channel hopping” algorithm incorporated into the TMAS suite.
