The headset audio input cable allows you to listen to audio through your tactical comms headsets and talk back through your speaker/hand mic. This cable was designed as a quick deploy solution. Having a full PTT system running the boom mic on the headset is the best solution. But some rapidly changing tactical environments may not give you enough time to completely change out your everyday patrol gear for your tactical call out gear. The cable allows you to deploy hearing protection by inputing radio calls into the headset and enabling you to continue to talkback through the hand microphone.

NATO U-94 to 3.5mm Adapter

The first thing I noticed is how well made and durable the cable felt. I haven't had it long with any major field testing but the connection seems very well done. The one issue I see just running it around the house and in the yard is sometimes the 3.5mm jack will come disconnected to the speaker mic without me noticing, nothing a ranger band can't fix though. If you going to run dedicated communication headsets then I would recommend a PTT so you can use the boom mic of the headset but overall the adapter works for my intended purpose. The last thing I would say is make sure you are getting the correct adapter. There are two types, Civilian and NATO. Comm Gear Supply will help but you need the serial number of the headset your running.
